What is fenbendazole and why did you take it for cancer?

Fenbendazole is an antiparasitic medication commonly used in veterinary medicine to treat worms in dogs and other animals. I learned about it through Joe Tippens, a man who documented his own cancer remission while taking it. Several early laboratory studies suggest fenbendazole may interfere with cancer cell metabolism and microtubule formation. I had nothing to lose, so I added it to my protocol alongside conventional treatment.

What is the Joe Tippens fenbendazole protocol?

Joe Tippens' original protocol centered on fenbendazole (brand name Panacur C), Vitamin E succinate, curcumin, and CBD oil. He documented his experience on his blog "My Cancer Story Rocks." My protocol is a modified and expanded version of his, adding many additional supplements I researched independently.

How much fenbendazole did you take and how often?

I took 444mg of fenbendazole twice daily for a total of 888mg every 24 hours. Although some people follow a 3-days-on / 4-days-off weekly cycle, which is what Joe Tippens originally described, Joe now recommends taking fenbendazole 7 days a week with no days off. I encourage you to research current fenbendazole dosing discussions and consult your doctor — I am not a medical professional and cannot prescribe dosing for anyone.

Joe Tippens took 222mg of fenbendazole, why did you take 444mg twice a day, for a total of 888mg a day?

I started out taking 222mg on day one, but on the second day I doubled it to 444mg. A few days later I doubled it again. I did this until I reached 888mg a day, divided into two 444mg doses. I did this because I really felt that I had absolutely nothing to lose by going at it as hard as I could. I had terminal cancer! I'm not telling you to take as much as I did. (I'm not telling you to take it at all.) I'm only sharing my personal story and experience. Discuss all options with your doctor.

How do I measure the granular fenbendazole? I'm not sure how to measure out 222mg or 444mg.

For standard granules (22.2% concentration of Safe Guard® or Panacur C® dog dewormer), 222mg of fenbendazole equals approximately 1 gram of product, which is roughly 1/4 of a level US teaspoon. If you're using the Safe-Guard® brand Big Dog box: each box contains 3 packets, each packet is 4 grams, so 12 grams total per box. For 222mg measure 1/4 teaspoon of granules. For 444mg measure 1/2 teaspoon.

Did you have chemotherapy or radiation, in addition to immunotherapy?

I only had immunotherapy (Keytruda®) and radiation on the tumor in my lung. I did not have conventional chemotherapy.

Did you stop chemotherapy or immunotherapy while on this protocol?

Accepted Answer

No. I continued my immunotherapy (Keytruda®) infusions every three weeks throughout my entire journey. I did not have conventional chemotherapy. (And I did not lose my hair because I only had immunotherapy.) I want to be very clear: I am not suggesting anyone stop or skip their conventional medical treatment. I used this protocol alongside — not instead of — my oncologist-directed care.

Can fenbendazole be taken with Keytruda (pembrolizumab) or other immunotherapy?

Accepted Answer

I took fenbendazole alongside Keytruda® and reached remission. While I did not have conventional chemotherapy, others say they continue with fenbendazole during chemo. However, I cannot tell you whether it is safe for you specifically. Drug interactions are real and individual. Please discuss this with your oncologist before adding anything to your regimen. That goes for all supplements, not just fenbendazole.

After you reached remission did you continue to take fenbendazole or other supplements?

Yes, but at different doses. I still take about 250mg of fenbendazole every day using Safe-Guard® dog dewormer granules, taken with Hemp Dog CBD oil. I still take curcumin — one Curamed® softgel every day. I still take milk thistle in capsule form. And I still take 2 Vital Planet Vital Flora capsules every day. These are the CORE products that I took and still take every single day.

Did fenbendazole cure your cancer?

I honestly don't know. I also received Keytruda® immunotherapy, which is a proven cancer treatment. I cannot tell you with certainty which element — or combination of elements — led to my remission. What I can tell you is that I did both, I reached full remission in less than a year, and I believe sharing my complete protocol is the most honest thing I can do.

Is this protocol safe?

I am not a doctor and I cannot tell you what is safe for your body. Fenbendazole has a long safety record in animals and is generally considered low-toxicity in humans based on available data, but that does not mean it is risk-free for everyone. Always consult your licensed medical provider before starting, changing, or stopping any supplement or medication.

Why are there so many supplements on your protocol?

Over time I researched each supplement individually and found studies or anecdotal evidence suggesting potential anti-cancer or immune-supporting properties. I added them one by one and tracked how I felt. Not every supplement will be right for every person — this is simply what I did.

Question 13

All of the supplements you took are expensive. If I can't afford them all can you suggest the most important aspects of the protocol?

I want to be very clear upfront: I am not a doctor and I am not prescribing anything. I cannot tell you what is right for your body or your situation. That said, if I personally could only afford a few items, I would prioritize fenbendazole, Hemp Dog CBD oil (or about a teaspoon of coconut or olive oil as a more affordable alternative), Curamed® Curcumin, Milk Thistle, and Vital Flora Immune Biome Probiotic by Vital Planet. These are the five core elements I consider foundational to my own protocol. Please discuss any supplement decisions with your licensed medical provider.

Are there any supplements you refused to take?

Yes. I refused to take glutathione and GABA. Both have research suggesting they may support cancer cell survival or tumor growth, and I made a personal decision to avoid them. Please research this carefully and discuss with your doctor before making any decisions.

No. I reached remission soon after Joe Tippens updated the protocol to include those products. Joe has had 3 different protocols as of this writing. The first was the one he used.
